WA Primary Health Alliance (WAPHA) CEO, Learne Durrington, will step down from her role in early April this year to commence a well-deserved transition to retirement.
WAPHA Board Chair, Dr Richard Choong, said Learne has been a highly effective CEO, successfully stewarding the organisation through its establishment in 2015, several significant strategic and structural reviews, reform of the organisation’s governance and the pandemic.
“Learne is recognised as a national leader in primary health care reform and innovation, gaining a seat at the table on Ministerial Advisory Committees that have shaped the direction of primary health care in Australia.
“Learne’s leadership, and unique ability to seize the opportunities, through some turbulent and challenging times over the last 10 years, have allowed us to emerge as a strong, capable and values led organisation positioned for enhanced stability and growth.”
“The Board acknowledges our stable and effective Executive team and our dedicated and skilled staff. Together we will continue our focus on delivering strategic and operational projects, building on the momentum we have generated over the last 12 months of operationalising our strategic priorities.”
WAPHA has engaged executive search specialist firm, Lester Blades, to undertake the recruitment process.
