Consultation on WA’s future GP workforce in full swing

WA Primary Health Alliance invites you to be a part of the conversation about the workforce needs and training capacity for GP registrars in your region.

As the provider of the GP Workforce Planning and Prioritisation activity in WA, we are working with a range of stakeholders at a jurisdictional and regional level to undertake analysis and provide advice that will support the transition to College-led GP training.

Our role is to provide independent, regionally based data and analysis to inform the geographic distribution and placement of registrars. This advice will be provided to The Department to guide GP colleges in selection and placement allocation processes.

To gain intelligence and test assumptions about the GP catchments in greatest need of GP services, we want to hear from general practices, particularly those who are accredited and training GP registrars, and other key primary care stakeholders across Metro and regional WA.
