WA Primary Health Alliance is proud to sponsor the Overcoming Inequities category at the 2018 WA Health Excellence Awards.
The WA Health Excellence Awards will be held at a gala dinner in Perth on 8 November 2018. These Awards recognise innovation and excellence in service delivery across eight project categories, and other individual awards. The winners highlight the outstanding work taking place throughout the WA health system.
The Overcoming Inequities award recognises projects that work to overcome inequities in access to healthcare due to distance, socioeconomic status, disability or other constraints by:
- identifying difficulties that some people face in accessing health care
- consulting marginalised groups and individuals
- developing solutions.
The nomination period for project and team awards is now open and we are continuing to encourage as many organisations and individuals to submit their applications before nominations close on Friday 27 July 2018 at 5.00pm.
Eligibility
The Awards are only open to WA Health employees. Collaborations with outside organisations are welcome, but the project must be led and submitted by WA Health. Full conditions of entry and eligibility are available on the Department of Health website.
