Focusing on infectious syphilis and congenital syphilis, this awareness raising campaign will appear across Aboriginal radio, digital audio, social media and out-of-home advertising until mid-December.
Additionally, for the duration of the campaign, the online STI testing feature on Healthysexual and Get the Facts has been updated to include a blood test for syphilis.
Practices can amplify this important messaging by:
- Sharing campaign assets from the campaign webpage.
- Ordering hard copy resources from Quickmailto display in your practice.
- Sharing a link to the campaign or Healthysexual website with your networks
- Promoting/supplying condoms and lube at your practice
- Offering a test for syphilis and other STIs and blood-borne viruses and talking to your patients about contact tracing.
WA Department of Health anticipates practices will see an increase in patients asking about and/or requesting STI services and support.
