Primary health care representatives needed for Mental Health Network steering committees

The Mental Health Network (MHN) operates under the governance of and with the support of the Mental Health Commission. It aims to improve outcomes for people with mental health issues by building capability and leadership and strengthening the provision and coordination of care and support across the State.

The MHN is seeking expressions of interest from primary health care practitioners (individuals and agencies) to participate in the following Sub Network Steering Committees:

  • Personality Disorder
  • Neuropsychiatry and Developmental Disorder (NPPD)
  • Forensic Mental Health

The Sub Network Steering Committees are the organising committees for each of the Sub Networks that assist the MHN achieve its mission with particular focus on specific areas of expertise.

They aim to bring together Sub Network representatives to collaborate, learn and provide advice to the MHC and other decision makers, with the common goal of improving outcomes for people with mental health issues, their supporters, and carers.
