Help to define the role of general practice in disaster prevention, preparedness, response and recovery

EOIs closing Friday 19 April

General practice can play a vital role in disaster and emergency management through maintaining continuity of care at a time when communities need it most.

To ensure the role of general practice is formally defined in WA’s State Health Emergency Response Plan (SHERP), WA Primary Health Alliance  is establishing an advisory group to inform the development and co-design of a model defining the role of general practice in disaster prevention, preparedness, response and recovery.

WA Primary Health Alliance would like to hear from GPs across WA who:

  • Can provide context to the considerations relating to general practice in emergency management throughout metro and regional WA.
  • Can offer diverse input to shape a robust, state-wide model for general practice engagement in emergency management.
  • Are passionate about the role of general practice in supporting emergency management.

Interested GPs are invited to complete the Expression of Interest form.
